Thoracic Oncology (Lung Cancer) Program
For our patients that are diagnosed with lung cancer, we offer the services of our Thoracic Oncology Program. Patients who have a thoracic malignancy will benefit from our multidisciplinary team approach to lung cancer care. This team approach benefits patients by utilizing the knowledge and expertise of several specialists to ensure expedited, comprehensive and evidence-based care. The multidisciplinary lung cancer team includes pulmonologists, radiologists, medical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists and advance practice nurses.
The Thoracic Oncology Program features follow-up communication with referring providers, a multidisciplinary lung tumor conference where patient care decisions are made and patient access to financial counselors, socials workers, registered dietitians, pulmonary rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, and other complementary therapies through the support of partner organizations.
Support Group
St. Paul Lung Clinic also holds a support group for lung cancer survivors once a month, on-site at the clinic. Our support group can provide you with the social and emotional support that you are seeking; offer advice and opinions from medical experts; answer tough questions; help you gain different perspectives; and be a source of ideas and information to help you manage your health and other concerns.
The group meets the second Wednesday of every month from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
