COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a condition in which some of your airways are permanently blocked. COPD makes it harder for you to breathe and causes strain on your heart.

If you think you may suffer from COPD, the St. Paul Lung Clinic can help. You can come into the clinic for a pulmonary consultation – there you will meet with one of our certified pulmonologists. The doctor will review your medical history and discuss your symptoms with you. Based on your evaluation, your doctor may request that you have pulmonary function testing (breathing studies) done. These will help your doctor determine the extent of your breathing problems, follow the progression of disease and plan an effective course of treatment.
